The most beautiful outdoor space for a sunny wedding with live music

Today's blog features another beautiful venue, this time up in the north of the country - called Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa, in Keswick, Cumbria.

If you are looking for a stunning location, with incredible views (which also help with incredible pictures!), with a space that can change with the weather, then this is a great choice!

Sam and I played here in May 2024, for the lovely Rob & Diane, and we had a gorgeous sunny day so the ceremony was held in their beautiful outdoor ceremony area.

We were placed at the back just behind the last row of chairs, and for anyone wanting to add live music to their outdoor ceremony there is a small deck just by the bridge, with a power socket to plug into. There are only two sockets, so a duo / trio set up with two or three plugs would work well here, but no more than that.

Behind the ceremony area is the gorgeous hotel backdrop, and the bride walked over this bridge and down the aisle, which was just beautiful!

There are so many lovely spots here for pictures as well, so your photographer won't be short of places to snap the best wedding shots! The photographer on the day for this wedding was Chris Freer, and he was fantastic! The images he caught from this wedding were nothing short of spectacular - go and take a look at some of his work here.

We played for the bridal entrance, register signing and exit song, and then made our way just inside to the room next to the wedding breakfast area, which is where we had set our equipment up ready for the drinks reception. We had brought two PA systems with us for this wedding, as we knew that we might be playing in two separate areas, with not much time to turn things around, so we had pre-set one PA system ready for the drinks reception, and had a separate one for the ceremony. This made the turnaround time super fast, and we were playing within about 5 minutes from the end of the ceremony.

Most of the guests enjoyed the outdoor space here as well while we provided some laid back tunes for the drinks reception, but with the doors being open, guests could enjoy the music outside as well, and there was a space ready to go indoors if the weather turned.

We absolutely loved this wedding, and would come back in a heartbeat to play again!

For anyone looking for a picturesque wedding venue, and that wants to add live music to enhance their day, please do go and check out Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa here, and check out our website here to view our package options too!
